More Than a Few Marvel Stickers

From our Disney Adventure

My idea for decorating our Disney Adventure cabin door was quite simple: buy some Marvel character stickers or a poster, stick them on the door, and that would be it.

Joanna had something a little more thought out.

Both boys were into Marvel, so she had been sourcing different decorations online. She wanted a theme they would enjoy, but also wanted anyone walking past to know that Lucas was celebrating his birthday and turning five.

Since magnets could stick to the cabin door, she decided to make personalised “Lucas turns Five” magnets through her own lè keepsakes, rather than draw the letters by hand. These became the centrepiece, with the Marvel decorations arranged around them.

I was actually very impressed when I saw the finished door. Partly because it looked good, and partly because I knew how little effort I had been planning to put in myself. Haha.

We also hung a Mickey Mouse collection bag beside the decorations for Pixie Dust exchanges. Over the next four days, little gifts appeared in it, becoming another part of our birthday cruise memories.

Looking at the door photos now, I’m glad Joanna went beyond my original stickers-and-done plan.
